I am Jonathan McRae, a photographer based in Southeastern North Carolina, capturing the coastline and country of the Carolinas from a perspective most people never get to see.

My work has taken me from the piers of Pawleys Island to the quiet longleaf pine of the Sandhills, chasing the light that makes a place feel like home, even if home is just a week a year. I'm FAA Part 107 certified, which means every aerial image in this collection is captured legally and responsibly, with respect for the land and the rules that protect it.

This isn't landscape photography. It's a record of the places you return to, the porch, the pier, the marsh at low tide, printed the way a gallery would frame it, so it belongs on your wall the same way that memory belongs to you.
